Financial Stress?
Thanks for stopping by my website. My goal for this site is to provide you with information on how to increase your income, how to reduce your expenses, how to create passive income, and how to reach your version of financial freedom and ultimately escape your personal rat race prison. This is a life long journey that I have personally walked and continue to walk daily. I have made many mistakes but have also been blessed with many successes. I believe money is one of the most stressful aspects of life and I want to take some of that stress away from the average person.
What is Rat Race Prison?
The Business Dictionary states: A Rat Race is analogous to rats in a maze that compete against one another to be the first to get the cheese. The cheese is a measly reward, yet the rats continue to compete for this small prize. When one refers to the Rat Race, one envisions harried, unhappy, people working long hours for little pay and little recognition. Yet they continue to participate in the rat race because their families depend on their earnings.
Sounds like a prison to me, and to be honest, felt like a prison just a few short years ago. I was completely trapped with tons of debt, a job I hated, and a wife and three kids that solely depended on me financially. The long and short is that I was miserable and dedicated every hour I could researching and learning a way out of the prison that I created.
Through many sacrifices and countless hours of education and research, today my life is much less stressful financially! We don’t live on a yacht or go on vacation every other week and I still have a job… but if I lost my job tomorrow, our life wouldn’t change much and to me, that is success!
I have reached this point in my life by focusing on the three items listed below. I have taken control of my finances and through many sacrifices and changes successfully achieved a positive cash flow position. I have studied many different forms of income producing assets and have utilized my positive cash flow to purchase these types of assets thereby creating passive income. Finally, I have never lost sight of my goal to become financially independent and ultimately achieve my version of financial freedom. Outside of winning the lottery or inheriting a fortune from a long lost cousin, this is the only path that I know of where an average person can escape from rat race prison.
